Our children's film classification - matt

The classification/rating of our children's film is PG. This is because it is aimed at children but may contain some themes that may be inappropriate for younger children or that they may not understand. Due to certain aspects of the film it could also be considered to be aimed at young teens as well as young children as it contains themes that young children can enjoy as well as others that an older audience could also enjoy , increasing the size of the potential audience. For example, as the film contains a genie and magic, children would find this enjoyable and would want to view it, but it also contains darker themes such as the man being chased through the woods, young children may not understand this but a slightly older audience would and would enjoy the suspense.
